My own personal design aesthetic is: "let the wood speak for itself". I try to find gorgeous woods use them to 'find the sculpture hidden in the slab of granite' if you will. The mechanical engineer in me strives for longevity over ease of manufacture and assembly. The musician in me demands a great sounding, loudest in the room response. The acoustic guitar is perhaps the ultimate challenge of blending and harmonizing structural and aesthetic design, ergonomics, resonant response and psycho-acoustics which is what keeps pulling me in and striving for excellence.
